NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. For 112 years, the NAACP has championed the fight for racial justice, since our founding in 1909. Since 1913, the Washington, DC NAACP Branch has advocated for civil rights, racial inclusion, public safety and the health of Black residents in the District of Columbia. We fight for the policies needed to rectify these impacts and advance a society that fosters sustainable, cooperative, regenerative communities that uphold all rights for all people to be safe, healthy and whole. The vital work we do advancing political, educational, social, and economic equality for Black people in the United States depends on the generosity of supporters like you.
Your donation ensures we have the tools and resources needed to advocate for the citizens of Washington DC. Join us in the fight.
