Environmental and climate justice is a civil rights issue.   We work to reduce harmful emissions and shut down toxic facilities and advocate for increased monitoring and enforcement of regulations targeting toxic emissions in Black and Brown communities.  The NAACP works to advance energy efficiency and clean energy.  We work to ensure that communities are equipped to engage in sustainability and climate action planning that integrates policies and practices on advancing food justice, advocating for transportation equity, emergency management, and facilitating participatory democracy.
